Save the Date: Outreach Staff Professional Development Workshop June 6

Join the Office for University Outreach for a very special professional development workshop for CU-Boulder staff. Community-University Boundary Spanners: A Framework for Capacity Building, Quality Improvement, and Professional Development for Outreach and Engagement Staff will be offered on campus Friday, June 6 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This workshop provides an opportunity for outreach and engagement staff to coalesce around their roles, skills, values, opportunities, and challenges and to learn new ways to strengthen outreach and engagement practices.

A program of the Engagement Scholarship Consortium, the workshop will be co-facilitated by Katherine Loving, civic engagement coordinator for the University of Wisconsin Madison, and Susan B. Harden, assistant professor at the University of North Carolina Charlotte.

The workshop is open to CU-Boulder staff whose job responsibilities include coordinating or supporting campus outreach and engagement programs. Hosted by the Office for University Outreach, the workshop is free, but attendance is limited to 50 participants.

To attend, submit a self-nomination or nominate a colleague by April 18. If you are interested, please see the Community-University Boundary Spanners Workshop Nomination Information (pdf) for more details.
