Community engagement coffee hour to focus on funding resources

March 9, 2017

Interested in finding out more about how to fund outreach and engagement work that connects to public needs and interests?

The Office for Outreach and Engagement and CU Engage are co-sponsoring a community engagement coffee hour that will provide information about funding resources for outreach and engagement work and feature current recipients of the CU Boulder Outreach Awards and the CU Engage Community-Based Research Fellowships

The event will be held March 16 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the CU Art Museum. CU Boulder faculty, staff and students who are interested in community engagement are welcome, including those who are new to or experienced in this work. Attendees are welcome to drop in for five minutes or the whole time to connect with others and build community.

The coffee hours are held on the third Thursday of each month to continue the conversation about different community engagement topics. The coffee hour on April 20 will focus on community engagement in challenging times.

CU Engage is CU Boulder's Center for Community-Based Learning and Research, and supports programs and initiatives that work collaboratively with community groups to address complex public challenges through academic courses, research projects, and creative work. The Office for Outreach and Engagement supports CU Boulder's commitment to public outreach and community engagement. Since 2001, the office has helped connect research, teaching and creative work with various communities across Colorado and beyond through programs, initiatives, resources and services.
