The goal of Behavioral Neuroscience Diversity Task Force is to promote awareness of and foster interest in brain science in communities of diverse ethnicities. In collaboration with Conservatory Green Middle School in Denver, PhD students and faculty members of the Task Force will provide a “hands-on” three-day neuroscience outreach event that will complement current classroom curriculum. The anatomy and sensory neuroscience labs activities will 1) provide a tutorial on how the brain shapes our behavior, cognitive and emotional experiences, and 2) provide a context to discuss neuroscience research at CU Boulder.
