Tactile Picture Books: 50 Books Project

A picture is worth 1,000 words...but what if you couldn't see it? Tactile Picture Books is a team of academic researchers (professor and students) across multiple departments in the University of Colorado Boulder that research and build technology to create 3D printed tactile picture books for children with visual impairment.

In this outreach project, we aim to reach 50 families across the world. We will develop unique, customizable, and inclusively designed tactile picture books for children with direct input and collaboration from their families, teachers, or others who have a relationship with them.

Interested individuals can submit a request for a book and contact us to learn more about our project.
