CU-Boulder to Host European Dignitaries at Foreign Policy Panel on March 21

Eleven statesmen from ten European nations will participate in a panel focused on European Union and U.S. foreign policy on Wednesday, March 21 in the Wittemeyer Courtroom in the Wolf Law Building. The event is free and open to the public. The panel discussion will be held from 5-7 p.m. and will be followed by a light reception. The panelists, who cannot be confirmed for security reasons, will represent a variety of foreign affairs organizations, ranging from media outlets to government entities.

The event is part of the U.S. Department of State-sponsored International Visitor Leadership Program, and it is hosted by the CU-Boulder’s Colorado European Union Center of Excellence (CEUCE) in partnership with the Institute of International Education.

The CEUCE promotes understanding of the European Union and transatlantic relations through teaching, research, and outreach activities at the University of Colorado Boulder and in the broader Mountain West region. The CEUCE was founded in 2008 with the support of the Delegation of the European Commission to the United States in Washington, DC, and represents one of ten institutions forming the Network of European Union Centers of Excellence in the United States.

“Part of our mission is to enliven the academic atmosphere surrounding the European Union at CU and perform outreach to the community, as a service partly provided by and for CU, in order to raise the level of public awareness of and about the European Union,” organizers said.
