New Outreach Staff Steering Committee, Inaugural Brown Bag Seminar on Jan. 9

An Outreach Staff Steering Committee was recently established at CU-Boulder. The goals of the new committee are to enhance collaboration, share best practices, and increase professional development opportunities among CU-Boulder outreach staff and to lay the groundwork for a community of practice.

Administered and led by staff from across disciplines, the committee was formed following a campus-wide outreach staff professional development workshop sponsored by the Office for Outreach and Engagement in June. The committee’s first order of business is to launch a brown bag seminar series for outreach staff centered around staff-identified areas of interests and followed by a behind the scenes tour of an outreach program’s area and programs.

The committee invites CU-Boulder outreach staff to save the date for the first Brown Bag Seminar: Navigating Outreach Communications on Jan. 9 at noon in the Loft in the Theatre and Dance Building (map). RSVP to Amanda Giguere and stay tuned for more details.

For more information about the Outreach Staff Steering Committee, contact committee co-chairs Amanda Giguere and Jeanne McDonald.
