CU Boulder faculty and staff, are you heading to a community in Colorado to give a lecture or host an event?

The Office for Outreach and Engagement needs your help collecting this information.

Through a newly created statewide outreach calendar on this website, the office is seeking to keep track of and highlight CU Boulder events that are happening around the state.

“CU Boulder faculty, staff and students share their expertise with communities around the state by providing a wide range of lectures, programs, workshops and other events,” said Jeanne McDonald, the office’s assistant director, who oversees this website and the calendar. “Our goal with this calendar is to provide a centralized place where campus and community members can find out when CU Boulder programs and events will be in their town or city.”

McDonald said the calendar complements a searchable database of outreach programs on this website, which was created in 2010 so people could easily find out about these programs. Together, the calendar and database provide ways to better understand the scope and impact of the more than 230 outreach programs and initiatives led by faculty and staff.

“Once our office knows about an event or program, we can share that information with campus leadership and help promote an event or program by working closely with campus and community partners,” she explained.

This website also offers information about campus offices that can assist with outreach and engagement work as well as initiatives, resources and services that connect the university’s research, teaching and creative work with public needs and interests.

To share on-campus events, use the CU Events Calendar. Selecting “Outreach and Engagement” in the interest category will ensure that an outreach event will also appear on the Outreach and Engagement campus event calendar.
