Engineers Without Borders is a student-based organization. Our mission is to partner with developing communities to improve their quality of life through the implementation of environmentally sustainable, equitable and economical engineering projects. Simultaneously, Engineers Without Borders promotes the development of globally aware and internationally responsible students and professionals.
Our CU Boulder Chapter was the first chapter of Engineers Without Borders-USA, created by Professor Bernard Amadei. Since its inception in 2002, this chapter of students, together with faculty mentors, has developed projects in Peru, Rwanda, Belize and Nepal. The chapter is currently working in Guatemala, Nepal, Puerto Rico and Rwanda. We consist of 100+ students in engineering and other majors, working hard to solve some of the world’s most complicated issues, and making lots of friendships along the way.
