The Office of Diversity Affairs, established in 2001, supports an inclusive learning environment for the diverse student body at the Leeds School of Business.

Outreach and Recruitment Initiatives

  • Business at a Glance for Diverse High School Students. This one-day program exposes high school students to the business curriculum, Leeds faculty, staff and current students, as well as company executives during moderated panels. Parents attend concurrent sessions to meet with Financial Aid and New Student and Family Programs.
  • Business Leadership Program. In this free, one-week summer program, local high school students explore business careers and create solutions for corporate partners.  Winning team members win a $1,000 scholarship to the Leeds School of Business.
  • Women in Business Case Competition. This free, three-day competition focuses on issues impacting women and includes the chance to win a $1,000 scholarship to the University of Colorado Boulder Leeds School of Business.

Undergraduate Student Development: Diverse Scholars Program (DSP)

Diverse Scholars are provided with supplemental advising, peer mentoring, professional networking, and community-building events to foster individual growth and strong relationships.  Diverse Scholars also have access to the following resources and programs:

  • Free Academic Tutoring
  • DSP Research Initiative Program
  • Professional Development Lunch & Learns
  • Academic Boot Camps
  • Community

In addition to these programs and opportunities, the office also partners with the CU Leadership, Excellence, Achievement, Diversity Alliance and other campus groups and has strong alumni and corporate interests and connections.

  • Women in Business Case Competition

    Talented high school students are invited to compete in a summer case competition at the Leeds School of Business. Participants will gain real-world experience while competing in a case challenge focused on issues affecting women. It’s a great opportunity to learn the values of business leadership and teamwork, while strengthening critical thinking and analytical skills.
